The use of AI in creative fields is abhorrent and I refuse to support anyone who does use it. Using AI to write is not writing. Using AI to create art is not creating art. AI steals from other creatives and by using it you are complicit in that intellectual theft. All the art I have commissioned has been from a real artist (@simplyrose.studios on Instagram).
Accidental Use of AI
Since I use Pinterest for a lot of moodboards, I would like to apologize for any AI-generated images I may have used in the past. I’ve gotten a lot better recently at identifying the difference between AI and non-AI generated images. There is a difference between accidentally using AI to promote your book and consciously using it. You know if it was on purpose or not.
If You’re Not Concerned, You’re Not Paying Attention
I do not support anyone who uses AI or supports the use of it in creative spaces. You will be blocked. This includes following accounts who post AI-generated content and includes reposting said content. Passively supporting it is still supporting it. AI steals from all creatives and by supporting it you are actively hurting authors and artists. Our careers are in danger because of AI and that’s something everyone should be concerned about.
