This book is exactly what I means when I ask for a dark academia book. I absolutely loved all the details, especially the little footnotes. It was so atmospheric and the romance was on equal footing with the plot. I was immediately drawn in by the pitch of the novel and the experience of actually reading it greatly exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this book!
Love Letters for Other People (Shaylin Gandhi) - December 09, 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to the author and publisher for providing me with a copy. The following review represents my honest opinion.
Gandhi has this ability to suck me completely into a narrative. I picked this book up and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. It was the absolute perfect length and the plot and romance were well-balanced. Something that really shines through in this narrative is the complexity in the characters, everyone feels rich and like a true reflection of humanity. Overall, I really enjoyed this read and I can't wait to read what Gandhi puts out next!
Kuxtal Academy: The First Spark (Nelle Nikole & Mikayla Hornedo) - December 11, 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to the authors for providing me with a copy. The following review represents my honest opinion.
I really liked the first one and I loved this one even more! The characters are so vivid and for a collaboration of two authors, the writing of the book is very cohesive. I really enjoyed the balance between the characters' lives as students (and people in general) with the overarching conflict, it was very well done. Overall, I'm very excited to keep reading this series!
