False Play (Yinn Quirós) - November 06, 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely loved this book! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a strong female lead and a man that yearns. The fake dating was done perfectly and the plot progression made complete sense. I thought it was funny how a conversation about tropes was brought into the book, definitely a nod to us readers! I was so sad when this book was over because I could've kept reading forever. I'll definitely be looking forward to the rest of the series!

Facing Off (Sookh Kaur) - November 07, 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and I appreciated how long it took the characters to get together. The timeline added to the authenticity of the relationship. The actual relationship was so fun to read and I loved the parts about ballet.

I will say though that I struggled while reading the dialogue. It felt almost formulaic and cringy at times which lead to me struggling to get into the story. I also struggled with Adrian's character, he was incredibly immature at times. I was also confused at how the side characters played a large role in the beginning of the novel and then almost dropped off the face of the earth about halfway through.

I definitely liked this book and would recommend it despite my struggles with it!

Shadows and Secrets (Arcadia Rayne) - November 13, 2025

If you're looking for a book with trials that DON'T feel cliche or ripped off... look no further! The romance is spectacular, the characters are incredibly well-formed, and the plot is perfectly placed. This felt like such a fresh take on fae, magic, trials, and marriage competitions. I absolutely love assassin characters and Huntyr is such an amazing FMC. She's badass, motivated, clever, and doesn't look down on people for being feminine (sure, she's irritated by the other noblewoman but not because they're women). Overall, I ATE this book up and I can't wait for the next one!

Chess Not Checkers (Annah Conwell) - November 13, 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love college romcoms and I love them even more when they work like college actually works! This had perfect execution on the technical aspect of how college works and I found the romantic relationship to have a really natural progression. This book also made me really hungry, especially for pastries, and now I have a craving for warm chocolate chip cookies (which is weird because those weren't even in the book).

Three Words (Ashley Kathleen) - November 19, 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh my god I LOVED this book! I read it all in one sitting. I think I'm definitely going through a hockey player mmc phase and I'm definitely not complaining about it. I especially loved how the fake dating trope was executed, with Fitz yearning for Bekah and Bekah slowly falling for Fitz. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of Kathleen's work!
